Will Wright Delighted with Season Performance and Youth League Record

Will Wright, Liverpool's forward, admitted that he feels "very happy" with this season as he showcases his abilities in the role of a "traditional number 9." Most recently, he scored a hat-trick in the match where Liverpool U19 triumphed over Fenerbahce 5-3 in the UEFA Youth League. Wright has netted 13 goals this season and aims to increase that tally in the future.

"People often call me a traditional number 9 who likes to move around, and that is my strength," Wright told Liverpoolfc.com. "I know where to be and what to do decisively. I am happy playing this season and hope to continue like this."

In the game against Fenerbahce, Wright scored his first goal in the 3rd minute and added a second in the 14th minute before completing his hat-trick in the second half, helping the team secure top points in the group of the Youth League. "We still have to work hard," he added. "We must not be complacent, and there is still room for improvement."
